Coordination
Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan An is assuring the public that Keelung's revised guidelines for school and work cancellations in a typhoon will not affect coordinated decisions across the Greater Taipei Area.
Keelung's revised guidelines allow work and class suspensions to be considered by district if 24-hour accumulated rainfall is forecast to reach 200 millimeters...
regardless of whether the area is mountainous or urban.
However, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an(蔣萬安)says Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, and Taoyuan will continue coordinating decisions on typhoon days off.
Chiang also said Taipei will continue following existing regulations while consulting with the other three cities...
emphasizing that the four form a shared living and commuting region, making coordinated decisions important for residents.
