The KMT and TPP have blocked all 3 of the Cabinet's latest round of nominees to sit on the Central Election Commission.
This comes after the Cabinet in April nominated 3 more people to sit on the CEC, after the legislature in March confirmed only 4 out of 7 nominees put forward by the Executive Yuan.
A nominee must receive support from at least half of all lawmakers.
The vote count today shows that 50 DPP lawmakers voted in favor of all 3 nominees while opposition lawmakers all voted against them.
