The Office of the President has issued a Presidential Order formally removing the government's top trade negotiator from office.
The move comes after Premier Cho Jung-tai suspended Yang Jen-ni on Monday of this week after an investigation found she had engaged in workplace bullying of her late deputy, Yen Huai-shing.
Yen died in March at the age of 53, shortly after resigning from her job as the deputy chief of the Office of Trade Negotiations.
A Cabinet report on its investigation into the matter concluded that Yang created a difficult working environment for Yen.
The investigation also found that Yang consistently used her position and authority to interrupt Yen's remarks and dismiss her views and determined that such actions constituted workplace bullying.
Yang has persistently denied any wrongdoing and questioned the legitimacy of the report - claiming the investigation lacked procedural fairness and relied on limited testimony.
Yang is also threatening to take legal action over what she's describing as damage to her reputation.
