EVA Air, UNI Air to raise international booking fees from Aug. 1

EVA Air and its sister airline UNI Air announced they will raise booking service fees for international flights starting August 1st.
EVA Air said that the two carriers' flights departing from the Philippines or Hong Kong, booking fees will be set at $28 U-S dollars per ticket, while other flights will be charged $33 U-S dollars.
Taiwan's major airlines charge booking service fees on a per-ticket basis to cover the cost of using global distribution systems (GDS) for reservations.
CHina Airlines also recently announced that it will raise its booking service fee to $30 U-S dollars beginning July 9th.
Starlux Airlines increased its booking service fee $30 U-S dollars on April 1st.
Meanwhile, Tigerair Taiwan has kept its booking service fees unchanged at $400 NT during peak travel periods, and $300 NT during off-peak periods.
