Philippines extends 14-day visa-free entry for Taiwanese travelers

The Philippines has extended its 14-day visa-free entry program for Taiwan
passport holders until June 30, 2027.

The Manila Economic and Cultural Office says the extension continues the
visa-free policy introduced last July to encourage more Taiwanese visitors.

Taiwanese travelers planning to stay for more than 14 days will still need to
obtain a visa before entering the Philippines.

The office says the move is in line with the principle of reciprocity, as
Taiwan also offers visa-free entry to Philippine passport holders.

Official figures show nearly 94 thousand Taiwanese visited the Philippines
during the first five months of this year, a 12 percent increase from the
same period last year.
