The Central Weather Administration says we'll being seeing a return to normal summer weather over the coming week following last week's heavy rains.
Localized showers and afternoon thunderstorms are forecast for today and tomorrow in some areas of the north.
However, from Thursday through Saturday, the weather is expected to become more stable, with afternoon showers largely confined only to mountainous areas.
The weather administration says it's also monitoring a tropical disturbance southeast of the Philippines and another southeast of Guam.
The Philippine system is expected to move into the South China Sea tomorrow and Thursday, but not strengthen significantly or directly affect Taiwan.
But the disturbance southeast of Guam could strengthen into a tropical depression this coming weekend and may later become Tropical Storm Bavi, the ninth named storm of this year's Pacific typhoon season.
