French Artists Heading to Avignon

Next month… four Taiwanese performing arts groups will be heading to France
to join the 2026 Festival Off Avignon.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the delegation includes various dance
troupes, focusing on Taiwan’s Hakka and indigenous traditions, as well as
reflections on technology and modern society.

Head of the Academic Cooperation and Culture Department of the French Office
in Taipei… Josue (Joshua) Serres says the Taiwanese artists will be
performing at Festival Off Avignon… one of world’s most important
contemporary performing arts events…


He adds that Avignon will be a offer the Taiwanese artists a global stage
like no other.

Festival Off Avignon runs July 4th through the 25th.
