Taiwan and the US are considering expanding cooperations between the two countries in Paraguay.
That's as Deputy Foreign Minister Chen Ming Chi met with US officials in the South American country earlier this week.
They reportedly discussed views on several issues, like ongoing Taiwan/Paraguay cooperation on an AI computing center.
They also discussed higher education talent cultivation, Mandarin language education, and efforts to encourage Taiwanese tech firms to invest in Paraguay.
Chen says, Taiwan the US both hope to support Paraguay's long-term development and can achieve greater results through joint cooperation.
US officials said that they will continue to help Paraguay enhance its cybersecurity capabilities, but that Taiwan and the U.S. should also work together to facilitate cooperation between Paraguay and trusted partners to address increasingly serious cyber threats.
