Costco's First Taiwan Store to Relocate

Costco Taiwan says its Kaohsiung store will relocate next month after nearly
three decades at its current site.

The retailer says the Zhonghua Fifth Road location, which opened in 1997 as
Costco's first store in Taiwan, will remain open until 6 PM on July 2nd.

... with operations resuming the following day at a new site in Cianjhen (前鎮)
District.

Costco says the new outlet will be its largest store in Taiwan and will offer
expanded parking and shopping space ... and ease in-store crowding during
peak periods.

However, some shoppers have raised concerns about traffic around the new
location ...

... questioning whether nearby roads will be able to handle increased
congestion, particularly on weekends.
