The issue was a key topic at the Ministry of Economic Affairs' first economic
and industrial development consultation meeting today.

Participants said future power planning needs to account for rising demand
from AI and other emerging technologies.

Minister of Economic Affairs Kung Ming-hsin says the government has taken
note of the recommendations and will consider follow-up strategies.

The meeting also focused on ways to help traditional industries benefit from
growth in sectors such as semiconductors, AI, drones, defense and robotics.
