DPP doubtful of ability of Chinese intrustions to draw Taiwan in

The DPP says, further Chinese intrusions on Taiwan's maritime waters are sure
to make Taiwanese people more opposed to China.

That's as 2 Chinese official boats have invaded the waters near Taiping
Island for the first time.

DPP Legislative Caucus Whip Cai Qi Chang says that, not only will these
actions fail to bring Taiwan closer to China...

they will actually make cross-strait relations drift further and further
apart.

The Coast Guard Administration yesterday issued a strong condemnation of the
Chinese boats' activities, saying that it's another form of China's gray-zone
warfare targeting Taiwan.

They added that the actions represent a clear violation of international law.
