Ministries Team Up to Supply Taiwanese Food at Asian Games

The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Sports have agreed to work
together to provide locally produced food for Taiwanese athletes competing at
this year's Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.

Officials say the initiative is intended to help athletes maintain their
nutrition and energy levels during the competition.

Agriculture Minister Chen Junne-jih (陳駿季) says the government will supply
agricultural, fishery and livestock products through the National Sports
Training Center and other facilities serving Taiwanese athletes during the
Games.

The two ministries say they hope to turn the cooperation into a long-term
partnership that promotes both Taiwanese sports and domestic agriculture.
