The Legislative Yuan has unanimously passed a resolution condemning what it described as Beijing's efforts to obstruct President Lai Ching-te's planned visit to Eswatini in April.
The resolution denounces China's alleged use of diplomatic and economic pressure to persuade third countries to revoke flight clearances for Lai's chartered aircraft.
Lawmakers said such actions endangered flight safety, violated international norms and undermined Taiwan's right to engage with the international community.
The measure was adopted without objection after being proposed by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party and endorsed by the opposition Taiwan People's Party.
Lai's original trip was canceled after several countries along the planned flight route withdrew overflight permission.
However, he later traveled to Eswatini aboard the private aircraft of King Mswati the Third and returned to Taiwan in early May.
