New dats shows that artificial intelligence has become the second most common source of emotional support for young job seekers in Taiwan, surpassing parents and other family elders.
The survey, conducted by 104 Job Bank this year in April , found that more than one-third of respondents turn to AI chatbots when feeling stressed or emotionally down.
Only friends and romantic partners ranked higher as a source of support.
The report also found that more than half of young job seekers consider themselves under high levels of stress.
Job hunting was cited as the leading source of pressure, followed by financial concerns and worries about future career prospects.
Nearly half of respondents said they had avoided applying for jobs they were interested in because they felt they were not good enough.
