TSMC Rebuts Bonus Rumors

Taiwan Seminconductor Manufacturing is denying rumors of a 15% reduction in
employee bonuses.

Recent social media speculation regarding bonus cuts sparked frustration
among some employees, with some threatening strike action similar to recent
protests seen at Samsung.

In a statement today, TSMC emphasized its gratitude for employee
contributions, and says it is confident that the annual growth rate of
employee bonuses will exceed the growth rate seen last year.

The chipmaker acknowledged that it is increasing the proportion of its
earnings allocated toward social sustainability initiatives to give back to
the community, but says it expects employee bonuses to continue increasing in
line with its steady future development.
