Water outage to affect over 23-thousand households in New Taipei

An all-day water outage is set to affect more than 23-thousand households
across New Taipei's Banqiao, Zhonghe and Tucheng districts on May 30th.

According to the city's Water Resources Department, the suspension is due to
pipeline replacement work being carried out by the Taiwan Water Corporation
... and will last for 23 hours.

The shutdown will begin at 9 AM on May 30th and continue until 8 AM the
following morning.

Officials say residents should begin storing water at least six hours before
the outage begins ...

... and avoid waiting until the last minute to prevent pressure problems in
the system.

Authorities are also reminding residents to switch off water pumps during the
outage to avoid equipment damage or fire risks.

They add that temporary water supply stations will also be set up in affected
areas.
