Record number of climbers scale Everest in one day

Officials say a record number of climbers scaled mount everest in a single
day.

274 people successfully summitted the worlds tallest mountain in one day...

taking advantage of clear weather.

Earlier in the week, veteran mountain guide Kami Rita Sherpa scaled the peak
for the 32nd time, breaking his own record.

The Everest climbing season began late this year due to risks from a huge
piece of unstable ice over the key route.
