MOFA hopes for rational treatment of Taiwan/India relations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says they're hoping the public can approach
Taiwan/India relations in a rational manner.

That's after a Kaohsiung city council candidate's billboard led to
accusations of disrimination...

as independent candidate Li Hong Yi's ad included what appeared to be
pictures of an Indian flag and a man wearing a turban with a "no" sign.

MOFA says, although it doesn't comment on internal political affairs, it
hopes the public can approach Taiwan/India relations in a rational manner.

They add that relations between the two countries have gradually matured over
the past few years...

saying they look forward to continued economic and cultural exchange with
India.
