Ke appeals, hopes for not guilty ruling

Former Taipei Mayor Ke Wen Zhe has appealed his 17 year prison sentence...

saying he hopes that the second ruling will find him innocent.

He added that his actions in the Core Pacific City and political donations
case were in accordance with the law.

The Taipei District Court found Ke guilty on charges of accepting bribes,
misappropriation of public funds, and breach of trust.

Taipei prosecutors had already appealed the ruling.

Ke says that all the political donations have legal documentation, and said
decisions made in the Core Pacific City case are in line with precedents.
