DPP on poll numbers

The DPP is touting recent poll numbers which they say demonstrate majority
support amongst the public for both President Lai Ching-te himself as well as
his administration's policies.

DPP policy committee chair Wu Si Yao said that poll numbers on the
government's efforts to ease economic burden on the public are above 70
percent...

while she said 8 main policies have clearly received public mandate.

Wu touted low unemployment numbers and a high per capita GDP, which has now
exceeded those of both Korea and Japan.

Meanwhile spokesman Wu Zheng touted a slight majority of constitutents who
approve of the Lai administration's handling of national security, defense,
foreign affairs and other issues...

representing broad approval of 8 key policy directions.
