North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly called for presence of stronger frontline units on the border with South Korea as a deterrent to war.
State media reports say Kim made the call during a meeting of divisions and brigade commanders from across the army.
Kim also called for adjusting the training system and expanding practical drills to reflect changes in modern warfareand the development of North Korea's military.
He is also said to have stressed ideological loyalty and vigilance against what he called the "arch enemy," which is a term North Korea has used for South Korea.
