Zelenskiy warns of possible Russian plan from Belarus

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy says Russia is trying to draw Belarus
deeper into the war.

Zelenskiy says Moscow is considering operations from Belarusian territory.

He says the plans could target northern Ukraine or a NATO country.

Zelenskiy did not provide further details.

Belarus borders Ukraine, as well as NATO members Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

There was no immediate response from Moscow or Minsk.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko allowed Russia to use Belarus for
part of its 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

Zelenskiy says Ukraine is preparing a response and strengthening defenses in
the northern Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
