THSR Adds Discount Services for Student Summer Travel

Taiwan High Speed Rail says it will add extra train services with additional
half-price discounts ahead of the summer break for university students.

The operator announced 28 additional services offering half-price student
fares between June 11th and June 17th, as students begin traveling home for
the holiday.

The extra trains include northbound and southbound services stopping at all
stations.

THSR says the added services are on top of existing student discounts, which
already include selected 50-percent, 75-percent, and 88-percent fare offers.

Tickets for the additional discounted services will go on sale from midnight
on the morning May 14th, following the regular booking schedule.

The company is also reminding passengers using student discounts to carry
valid student identification when traveling.
