NTaipei Museums Offer Free Entry for Intl Museum Day

New Taipei City is offering free admission to its public museums and historic
sites on May 18-th to celebrate International Museum Day.

The city's Cultural Affairs Department says on that day, visitors can enjoy
six public museums for free, including the Tamsui Historical Museum, the
Yingge Ceramics Museum, and the Pinglin Tea Museum..

The New Taipei City Art Museum will also offer free entry to its main
sections, though some special exhibitions may still require a fee.

Special activities are planned throughout the city, including guided tours of
the Danjiang Bridge and an interactive event at the Lin Family Mansion.

The department says the initiative is part of its campagin this year to make
art and history accessible to everyone.
