Starlux Launches Taichung-Tokyo Route as Taichung Promotes Tourism in Japan

Starlux Airlines has launched a new direct route between Taichung and Tokyo,
expanding flight options for travelers in central Taiwan.

Taichung officials say the new service is expected to help attract more
international tourists and deepen ties with the Japanese travel market.

To promote the route, the Taichung City Government is leading a delegation of
23 travel-related businesses to Tokyo this week to market the city’s food,
accommodations, shopping and tourism attractions.

Officials say Japanese travelers are especially interested in nature, local
culture, and food tourism — areas where central Taiwan hopes to attract more
visitors.

The Tokyo service adds to Starlux's growing list of Japan destinations from
Taichung, including Kobe, Takamatsu, Okinawa, Miyakojima and Kumamoto.
