2026 Penghu Fireworks Festival Opens with Dragon Ball Z Theme

Organizers of this year's Penghu International Fireworks Festival are calling
it the biggest edition in the event's history.

The festival, which kicked off earlier this week, features a collaboration
with the hit anime Dragon Ball Z, with themed drone and fireworks shows
running through August 25th.

Opening and closing nights feature upgraded 12-minute fireworks displays
alongside performances by 700 drones creating Dragon Ball-themed images in
the sky.

Organizers say a total of 33 events are planned across the summer.

International fireworks teams from six countries have also been invited to
take part.

Beyond the fireworks, the festival includes Dragon Ball-themed attractions,
installation art, interactive activities and pop-up merchandise shops.

Officials say the festival is designed to encourage visitors to stay longer
and strengthen summer tourism across Penghu.
