Zelenskyy warns Russia of retaliation after ceasefire violations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Kyiv will "respond in kind" to Russian attacks after accusing Moscow of rejecting ceasefire efforts.
In a Wednesday evening address, Zelenskyy said Russia answered Ukraine's truce proposal with new strikes, and that Kyiv would determine its response "depending on the situation tonight and tomorrow."
Ukraine proposed a ceasefire beginning midnight on May 6th, but Zelenskyy says Russian forces violated it 18-hundred-20 times in the first 10 hours alone.
On Wednesday morning, Russia struck a kindergarten in the northern Sumy region, killing two people.
Russia had separately announced a two-day Victory Day truce for Friday and Saturday, timed to coincide with its Red Square parade marking the end of World War Two.
This year's parade will feature no military hardware, amid fears equipment could be targeted by Ukraine.
Zelenskyy has not committed to holding fire during Russia's truce window.
