Opposition parties reiterate opposition to EY version of defense bill

The opposition KMT and TPP legislative caucuses are reiterating their wariness of the Executive Yuan's version of a special defense bill.
That's ahead of a scheduled cross-partisan caucus meeting tomorrow to discuss the issue.
TPP caucus leaders say today that the party supports the purchasing of arms but does not support signing off on a blank check to fund unclear spending.
The TPP is reportedly putting forward two versions of a bill, the first of which would only contain one batch of arms sales valued at 400 billion NT, and another including the second batch at 800 billion total.
Meanwhile, a KMT proposal includes 380 billion NT N, although some in the party are hoping for closer to double that figure.
