High prosecutors are calling for continued investigation into a former McDonald's manager who was not prosecuted following the death of an employee.
The high-profile case allegedly began when the manager assaulted a student employee, whose mother posted about the incident online following her daughter's suicide.
The mother said that her daughter's manager took advantage of his position over the employee, and said that, even after resigning, her daughter still took her own life.
The employee went to the police and filed a complaint with McDonalds, but her mother says it was quickly dismissed and swept under the rug.
Shilin prosecutors ultimately did not prosecute the manager for lack of evidence.
However, the High Prosecutors Office today has remanded the case to Shilin prosecutors, citing an incomplete investigation.
