A man has been indicted after slapping a part-time stadium worker at a pro baseball game in Tainan in late March.
The Tainan District Prosecutors Office says the suspect was attending a Chinese Professional Baseball League game at the Asia-Pacific Baseball Stadium on March 29th when a dispute arose over crowd management as spectators exited the venue.
The prosecutors say the suspect has been indicted on charges of assault and public humiliation through force, as the worker suffered verbal abuse and sustained injuries in full view of bystanders.
Prosecutors are asking the court to apply the heavier assault charge in sentencing.
