Terror Plot Trial Begins Over Foiled Attack Targeting Taylor Swift Concerts

Over in Austria ...

A trial has begun against a man accused of plotting to attack one of Taylor
Swift's concerts in Vienna nearly two years ago.

Prosecutors say the defendant pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group
and planned an attack on the Vienna shows.

Authorities say the plot was thwarted, but they still canceled Swift's three
planned performances in August 2024 as a precaution.

The defendant faces multiple charges, including terrorist offenses and
membership in a terrorist organization.

His defense attorney says he plans to plead guilty to most of them.
