TPASS 2.0 cashback delayed for third straight month as budget stalemate

drags on

Commuters using the T-PASS 2-point-0 transit pass program are going without
cashback rewards for a third consecutive month, as the central government
budget remains unresolved.

Under the program's rules, monthly cashback is supposed to be available by
the 25th of the following month -- but payments for January, February, and
now March have all failed to go out.

The cumulative unpaid amount has reached roughly 27-million NT, affecting
tens of thousands of eligible commuters each month.

The Directorate General of Highways says budget execution is being handled in
line with Executive Yuan policy directives, but offered no payment timeline.
