Taiwan Urged to Centralize Support for Sexual Abuse Victims

The Modern Women's Foundation is calling for Taiwan to implement a
centralised system to support victims of image-based sexual violence.

The foundation cited data government data that shows that more than 1500
filed complaints in 2025 ...

... up almost 50 percent from a year earlier.

The foundation adds that hidden cameras are especially prominent, based on
both official data and media reports.

It warns that victims of such crimes face doxxing, harassment, and even
real-world safety threats.

Advocates say Taiwan lacks an integrated response system, forcing victims to
navigate multiple agencies and repeatedly recount their experiences.

They say Taiwan should implement a support model similar to the one in South
Korea, to better assist and protect victims.
