Five Injured in Train Crash in Denmark

In international news ... and over in Scandinavia ...

Five people are critically injured after two passenger trains collided in
Denmark.

Police are calling it a major incident.

Authorities say the crash happened early Thursday near Hillerod, just north
of Copenhagen, on a local rail line used by many residents.

The Greater Copenhagen Fire Department says around a dozen others suffered
minor injuries.

Local authorities say say everyone has now been evacuated from the trains ...
and that some of the injured were airlifted to hospital.

Photos from the scene show the front ends of both trains badly damaged,
though the carriages remained upright.

Investigators say they are now working to determine what caused the collision.
