The CDC says Mpox cases in Taiwan have doubled so far this year, with 12 infections confirmed as of April 20th.
That's up from six cases during the same period last year, with 11 domestic infections and one imported.
All of the cases involve men aged between 25 and 50, and nearly 80 percent had not been vaccinated.
Officials say two new cases reported in April were linked to high-risk sexual behavior.
The agency warns that both domestic and international transmission risks remain, and is urging people in higher-risk groups to complete the two-dose vaccination series.
Authorities add that more than 107-thousand people have received at least one vaccine dose, but over 31-thousand still need their second shot for full protection.
