Starmer Furious Over Ambassador Security Scandal

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he is "absolutely furious" for not
being informed that his pick for U.K. ambassador to Washington failed
security checks.

Starmer calls it "staggering" and "unforgivable."

He faces demands to resign over appointing Peter Mandelson, who was
considered risky due to past ties with Jeffrey Epstein.

The Foreign Office overruled security officials' recommendations against
Mandelson's appointment.

Starmer's office claims he only learned of the failed checks recently.

Opposition leaders express disbelief, with some calling for his resignation.

Starmer plans to address Parliament on Monday.
