Taipei MRT says, service on the brown line has returned to normal after an issue with a train caused massive crowds.
The incident took place this morning just past 8am as the train left Muzha station.
Officials add that a preliminary analysis suggests that the problem originated in the train door's detection circuit.
The train is currently undergoing repairs, and brown line operations have returned to normal.
Threads users said that the northbound train stopped at Wanfang Hospital when an announcement came over the intercom saying that there was an issue with the train...
and that it returned to normal about 6 minutes later.
The issue caused huge crowds at Zhongxiao Fuxing and Nanjing Fuxing, and the roughly 50 passengers on board the train at the time were forced to disembark and get on the next train.
