The Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office has indicted ten people for allegedly leaking sensitive information to China.
Those charged include active and former military personnel, with ranks as high as major across the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.
Prosecutors say the case centers on a civilian suspect accused of working with Chinese intelligence, recruiting financially vulnerable officers and arranging payments.
Authorities say some personnel were pressured into pledging allegiance to China after taking loans, while others provided videos of military facilities and sensitive documents in exchange for money.
The suspects face multiple charges, including violations of national security and anti-corruption laws, with prosecutors seeking the harshest penalties.
The case will also mark Taiwan's first national security trial to involve citizen judges.
