The CPC Corporation says the first of four oil tankers carrying crude oil from the Middle East is expected to arrive in Taiwan in early May.
The shipment comes as the U-S-Iran conflict continues to disrupt transport routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
The state-run utility says it has coordinated alternative shipping routes, with tankers now traveling via the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Officials say the remaining three tankers are scheduled to arrive at a rate of one per month.
The shipments, totaling about 8 million barrels of crude oil, are expected to help ease pressure on Taiwan's energy supply.
Authorities add that current oil and natural gas reserves remain above legal safety thresholds, and operations have not been seriously affected so far.
