Anger in Russia over restrictions on internet

Now turning to international news and in Russia,

people are becoming frustrated with the government over restrictions on the
internet that have disrupted daily life, hurt businesses, and prompted
condemnation from those on all sides of the political spectrum.

The intensifying crackdown has shut down regular cellphone internet
connections, blocked popular messaging apps, and affected thousands of other
websites.

Despite restrictions on unathorized demonstrations, activists have oragnized
small rallies and filed lawsuits...

while industry leaders have pleaded with the government to reconsider, saying
the restrictions are bad for business.

The crackdown does not only affect which websites Russians can access, but
also poses inconveniences for daily life, like ordering taxis or deliveries.
