Lin Yu-ting takes bronze at Asian Boxing Championships

Taiwan's Olympic boxing champion Lin Yu-ting has taken bronze at the Asian
Elite Boxing Championships in Mongolia.

Competing in the women’s 60-kilogram division, Lin lost her semifinal bout
4-1 to North Korea's Won Un Gyong.

It was Lin's first international tournament since winning gold at the Paris
Olympics.

She managed to level the fight in the second round, but her opponent’s more
aggressive style proved decisive in the final round.

Another Taiwanese boxer also lost in the semifinals, leaving the team with
two bronze medals so far.

Lin’s coach said the competition provided valuable experience, as the team
adjusts to a new weight class and unfamiliar opponents.

He added that Lin is still regaining form after a long break, with her main
goal set on the Asian Games later this year.
