Kosovo struggles with fuel price hike

Kosovo is struggling with the steep rise in fuel prices due to the Iran war.

Despite being one of Europe's poorest countries, Kosovo's government has yet
to put in place measures to mitigate effects of the crisis...

as neighbors Serbia, Hungary, and Romania have done, introducing special
diesel prices for farmers or lowering state tax income.

Economic experts warn that the government should urgently respond to prevent
greater damage to the economy,

Kosovo's economy has struggled since it declared independence from Serbia in
2008.

Additionally, a prolonged political crisis has left the country without a
fully functioning government for the better part of a year.
