The career fair at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology today drew large numbers of young attendees.
A total of 220 companies participated, offering about 16,000 job openings, with nearly 60% from the manufacturing sector, including semiconductors and electronics.
Around 40 companies offered positions for international students, encouraging overseas youth to join Taiwan's workforce.
Employers say that the university's students are valued for skills such as AI collaboration, the ability to learn things quickly, and cross-disciplinary integration.
They noted that amid the rise of AI and Taiwan's declining birth rate, skilled talent is becoming increasingly scarce, giving graduates more choice and leverage in the job market.
