The Ministry of Agriculture is warning of impersonation scams involving agricultural products on social media platforms.
According to the ministry, fraudsters have been impersonating the institute and its branch offices, offering so-called "trial product discounts", among others, on fruits like mangosteen and honey jujube.
The MOA stresses it does not sell products, run group orders, or conduct commercial transactions online.
Officials say these scams often use phrases like "limited-time offer" to lure buyers, and may even contact users directly to request payments or orders.
The MOA says all legitimate announcements about research results or crop trials are only published on official websites or verified social media accounts.
Authorities warn that legal action will be taken against those involved in impersonation scams.
