The Air Force announced today that the company commissioned to locate the so-called black box of the missing F-16V fighter jet has found and recovered the flight data recorder.
The aircraft, flown by Captain Xin Bo-yi, went down on January 6th during a nightime training session off of Hualian.
After over two months of search, the company has finally found the black box and a large amount of aircraft debris.
However, no remains of the pilot have been found, and the search is ongoing.
The Air Force said it'll send the recorder to the American manufacturer for analysis to determine the cause of the crash.
