All caucuses in the legislature have agreed to hold a vote on nominees for the Central Election Commission.
Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu convened cross-party talks today, where party groups agreed that the Legislative Yuan will hold a recorded vote on the confirmation bill this Friday.
The policy inquiry session originally scheduled for that day will instead be held on March 17th.
The nominations were submitted by the Executive Yuan late last year.
The Central Election Commission currently has only four commissioners remaining.
Under the law, at least five commissioners are required for the body to convene meetings and make decisions.
