Chunghwa Post suspends mail services to 15 countries over Iran war
Posted on 2026-03-10 19:50:13
Chunghwa Post has temporarily suspended international mail services to 15
countries due to disruptions caused by the ongoing U-S-Israel war with Iran.

The affected destinations include the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Pakistan,
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Greece, Egypt and Morocco,
among others.

The state-run postal service said the suspension took effect Tuesday after
several Middle Eastern countries closed their airspace or restricted flights
as the conflict escalated.

Officials said the move aims to prevent long delivery delays that could
affect customers if mail cannot reach its destination.

Chunghwa Post added that people who still need to send packages to those
countries can check with local post offices about alternative services that
ship through private couriers such as FedEx or DHL.
