The DPP has released the results of polling conducted in Taipei's Da'an and Wenshan districts today.
The party is nominating 4 candidates in the 12-seat district.
Incumbents Jian Shu Pei and Wang Min Sheng both passed the post, with Jian being the most popular of the 6 candidates.
Newcomers Liu Pin Xin and Chen Sheng Wen also made the cut.
That leaves Gao Yang Kai 高揚凱and Xu Qin Huang 徐嶔煌without nominations.
The DPP currently holds only two of the 12 seats in the district, in addition to one held by the Social Democratic Party.
Local party leaders say that districts 1 and 2- comprising Shilin, Beitou, Nangang, and Neihu- do not require primaries to determine nominees, as the number of candidates and nominee spots are the same.
Next up is district 5, which means residents of Zhongzheng and Wanhua can expect a phone call this evening, and the rest of us can expect results tomorrow afternoon.
