President Lai Ching-te will convene a special task force tomorrow to begin the process of appointing new members to the Control Yuan.
Led by Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim, the board—which includes judicial experts and presidential advisors—will use its first meeting to launch a public search for candidates.
The move comes as the terms for the current Control Yuan members, including its president and vice president, are set to expire this July.
President Lai will use the board's recommendations to nominate a new slate of officials, as per constitutional procedure.
Those names will then be sent to the Legislative Yuan for final approval.
