Premier Cho Convenes Emergency Meeting Amid Escalating Middle East Tensions

Premier Cho Jung-tai has convened an emergency meeting to address escalating
tensions in the Middle East and the impact on global markets.

While officials report that current fluctuations in the local stock and
currency markets remain controllable, the Premier says he wants the Cabinet
to take preemptive action against potential volatility.

He has directed the Ministry of Economic Affairs to activate an energy task
force to secure oil and gas supplies and asked that Vice Premier to convene a
price stabilization meetings.

On the diplomatic front, Cho also asked that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
take measures to help stranded Taiwanese travelers in the affected areas
return home safely.
